At the
completion of this course the student will be able to:
Set up safe work zones that
meet the Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD) standards
Understand the requirements
of the national standards for work zone traffic control
Have a working knowledge of
a work zone including the five areas of the work zone and the
traffic control devices used in each
Have a working knowledge of
the handbook Work Zone Safety: Guidelines for Construction,
Maintenance and Utility Operations to set up work zones for
short term stationary, short duration and mobile operations
